About the House
In the idyllic village of Kal-Koritnica, just a stone’s throw from Bovec, for many years there stood a dilapidated public building, damaged by earthquakes, which in the past served as the village dairy.
This space was an important meeting point for local farmers, who brought milk here for further processing and delivery. Although dairy activity in the village gradually declined over time, three larger farms remained, preserving the livestock tradition and processing milk into cheese products on their own homesteads. It is estimated that the village had around 25 cows, 250 sheep and 50 goats, which indicates that agricultural activity is still vibrant and diverse.
